I am not an academic philosopher, but that is alright with me.

I am a college teacher, perhaps formerly and perhaps not, and my PhD. is in History. College is lovely and has enriched my life in ways too numerous to quantify. The reason to tell you this information is to be clear what I am doing in this story.

I am an armchair philosopher and not an official one. Actually, I like both armchairs and “big ideas,” so that term sounds cozy and fun. In fact, you should feel positive if anyone considers you an armchair philosopher. It means you are passionate about ideas but did not attempt the tremendous work to become something you probably never intended to be.
