An important thing you've never heard of
I have an experimental theory that “they” should be counted among the most important words in the English language. What about top 10, is this too high? Actually, I will take a stand and say they is the most important word we have.
It is very vague, and this is precisely one reason for its popularity. In general, human beings had rather abstain from thinking very hard. At least among the commonplace and mundane life situations, we like to sum up and move on.
