A great essay reflecting on awe, which emerges as both a universal and deeply personal experience. Awe connects us to something greater, transcending the mundane and expanding our perspective. Thank you, Strawbridge.

Thanks so much for your kind words. I love that word transcend. It should be a regular goal for us to transcend what is on the surface.

Agreed. The feeling of awe is so important, without it, life can feel dull and a bit lifeless!

Yes. It’s more important now than ever. We get numb because of unthinkable technology so that nothing is impressive. Thanks for sharing.

My last awe experience was seeing a particular paint color on a car. It stopped me in my tracks and I was thankful that such beauty existed in this world.

Mundane, but true.

The most awesome was walking up to the Grand Canyon and seeing the Earth fall away from me.

A simple unconventional one and then a classic awe inducing experience we all understand. That’s great. What was the color?

A rich, deep, shiny red.
