“Falling for manipulation is not a sign of weak character. It is an indicator of unchecked goodness.”
I quite like that! The way I thought if it is the idealist is at risk of being defrauded, the pessimist rarely gets taken, but I would rather think well of 100 people and be disappointed 50 times than to look suspiciously at 100 people and be shocked 50 times.
I accept the losses as the price to pay for being happy in life.
Thanks. Yeah I get what you mean. Sometimes I ask myself if there is a satisfaction in being right when no one sees it and the schemer wins. At least, I think I am beyond disappointment in people. Nothing shocks me in that way. I do know that we must have some optimism to make good happen. I must throw in with the do-gooders if I have to make a choice. And I often do. I have this philosophy of trying to show people a better way and realizing that world contrivances and general noise pollution is what makes most people take shortcuts.
Nice new bio photo and love your quotes! 🙌
Ahh thanks so much, I’m glad you noticed the tiny picture. 🙌
So good!
Thank you so much.
